Staying in Alanya and wondering which dive trip is actually worth your money? This is our own honest ranking. At Side Diving · Atalay Hoba we run five full-day boat diving trips along the Antalya coast, and for guests based on the Alanya side we've narrowed it down to two: the trip that dives right in the waters off Cleopatra Beach, and the flagship that justifies a longer ride down the coast.
Here's how we ranked them. Every trip we run includes the same core: two guided dives — a gentle morning dive at 5–8 metres for 15–25 minutes, then an afternoon dive to 12–13 metres — plus all equipment (tank, regulator, wetsuit, mask and fins), free two-way hotel transfer with a morning pickup from your hotel, a fresh lunch cooked on board, passenger and diving insurance and a full safety briefing. Because the inclusions are identical, the ranking comes down to what's underwater and how far you travel to get there. Beginners are welcome on both trips with no licence needed, non-divers can join as boat guests at a reduced rate, and certified divers get their logbook signed and stamped.

This is the trip that starts where you already are: a full 8-hour boat day from Alanya, diving caves and rocky reefs in the waters off Cleopatra Beach, with Alanya Castle in view from the deck. Two guided dives, all equipment, lunch on board and hotel transfer are included for €43. For most Alanya-based guests it's the obvious first choice.
Our flagship, and the one worth the longer ride to Side: a 7-hour boat day diving the sunken-sculpture Underwater Museum, where you can hand-feed fish among the statues. Small groups of just 3–4 divers per instructor keep it personal, and at €45 it includes the same two dives, equipment, lunch and transfer as every trip we run.
Yes. Both trips are built for beginners: you get a full safety briefing before your first dive, the morning dive stays deliberately shallow at 5–8 metres for 15–25 minutes, and an instructor guides you throughout. Try-dives are possible from around age 10, and we can arrange CMAS courses on request.
