Scuba Diving from Avsallar

Roughly midway along the coast road between Manavgat and Alanya, Avsallar is the kind of resort guests return to year after year. Its calling card is sand: the famously fine, golden İncekum shore begins right next door, shelving so gently into the sea that the water stays warm and shallow a long way out. From Avsallar, your diving day points east. In the morning we collect you from your hotel — the round-trip transfer is free — and a short drive along the shore brings you to the dive boat in Alanya. After a thorough safety briefing you make your first guided dive at 5–8 metres, an easy 15–25 minutes to settle your breathing and find your buoyancy. A freshly cooked lunch is then served on deck, and in the afternoon the second dive takes you down to about 13 metres, the ceiling for beginners diving without a licence. Tank, regulator, wetsuit, mask and fins are all supplied, passenger and diving insurance is included, and after the second dive we drive you straight back to your Avsallar hotel — the whole outing takes about eight hours. Certified divers dive the real profiles from the same boats: around 30 metres on standard certified dives, and down to 60 metres on the deep sites for suitably qualified divers.
