Scuba Diving from İncekum

İncekum means "fine sand" in Turkish, and the name is no exaggeration: the beach beside Avsallar is famous along the whole coast for its powdery golden shore and gently shelving, child-friendly water. Pine woods run down almost to the sea, and the hotels here are built for slow, easy holidays. The sandy bay is perfect for swimming — but the dramatic underwater scenery of caves, boulders and ancient amphora begins a little further east, along the rocky Alanya coastline. That is exactly where our dive boat takes you.

Your dive day starts at the door of your İncekum hotel with a free two-way transfer. Pickup is in the morning, and the exact time is confirmed the evening before. A short drive brings you to Alanya harbour, where you board the boat for a full eight-hour day on the water. After a thorough safety briefing you make your first guided dive to 5–8 metres for 15 to 25 minutes, enjoy a freshly cooked lunch on board, then descend to 12–13 metres on the afternoon dive. Passenger and diving insurance are included, and at the end of the day you are driven straight back to İncekum.

The Alanya scuba diving trip explores the waters off Cleopatra Beach: rocky reefs, sea caves tied to the story of the Mediterranean monk seal, and an amphora site near the harbour where ancient jars rest on the seabed and octopus, grouper and moray eels are often spotted among the rocks. No licence and no experience are needed: both dives are guided by an instructor at beginner-friendly depths, and most of our guests are diving for the very first time.
