Scuba Diving from Konyaaltı

Konyaaltı is where Antalya city meets the open Mediterranean: a sweeping pebble shoreline that runs for kilometres beneath the grey-blue wall of the Beydağları mountains. By day the long promenade fills with swimmers, cyclists and families drifting between beach clubs and shaded cafés; by evening the whole bay glows as the sun sinks behind the peaks. It is a resort area with a genuinely urban pulse — trams, markets and restaurants just minutes from the sand — which makes it one of the most convenient bases on this coast for a day of scuba diving.

Your dive day begins with a morning pickup from your Konyaaltı hotel. The driver brings you the short distance to the dive boat in Antalya, the closest departure point to your door. On board, the crew runs a full safety briefing before the first guided dive at 5–8 metres — a relaxed 15–25 minutes that lets complete beginners find their breathing and balance. A freshly prepared lunch is served on deck as the boat moves along the coastline, and the afternoon brings a second guided dive to 12–13 metres among reefs, caves and shoals of fish. Afterwards you are driven straight back to Konyaaltı.

Divers staying in Konyaaltı almost always choose the Antalya scuba diving trip, and for good reason: it departs from Antalya itself, so the free two-way hotel transfer is the shortest of any of our routes, and the full-day programme — two dives, all equipment, lunch, passenger and diving insurance — costs €50 for around eight hours. You reserve free online and pay on the day, in cash or by card, with free cancellation up to 24 hours; the full picture is on our prices page.

No licence is needed — both dives are guided, and if you have never breathed underwater before, our discover scuba diving page explains exactly what to expect. Try-dives are possible from around age 10, non-divers can join as boat guests at a reduced rate, and certified divers get their logbooks signed and stamped. Message us for current availability.

FAQ

Is hotel pickup from Konyaaltı included in the price?+

Yes. Free two-way transfer from Konyaaltı hotels is included in the €50 trip price. You are collected from your hotel in the morning, taken to the dive boat in Antalya, and driven back after the trip — there is nothing extra to pay for the transfer.

I have never dived before — can I really join from Konyaaltı?+

Absolutely. No licence is required. You receive a full safety briefing, all equipment — tank, regulator, wetsuit, mask and fins — is provided, and both dives are guided: the first at a gentle 5–8 metres for 15–25 minutes, the second at 12–13 metres. Try-dives are available from around age 10.

My partner doesn't dive — can they still come on the boat?+

Yes. Non-divers are welcome on board as boat visitors at a reduced rate. They enjoy the full day out — the cruise along the Antalya coast and the fresh lunch on deck — while you do your two guided dives. Just mention it when you book.

Are there any health restrictions, and can I fly afterwards?+

Diving is not possible if you are pregnant or have severe asthma, a heart condition or respiratory problems. Also plan your journey home carefully: you should not fly within 24 hours of your last dive. Passenger and diving insurance is included for everyone on board.
