Scuba Diving from Lara

Lara is where Antalya dresses up. East of the city centre, a broad ribbon of golden sand runs for kilometres, backed by the grand themed resorts that have made this shoreline famous across Europe. After a thorough safety briefing you make your first guided dive on a shallow spot at 5–8 metres: an unhurried 15–25 minutes in which your breathing settles and the blue starts to feel like home. Back on deck a fresh lunch is cooked on board while the boat cruises a coastline of reefs, caves and shoals; the afternoon dive then takes you a little deeper, to about 13 metres — the ceiling for beginners — before the boat turns for harbour and the driver delivers you back to your hotel door. Certified divers dive the real profiles from the same boats: around 30 metres on standard certified dives, and down to 60 metres on the deep sites for suitably qualified divers.
