What German Guests Usually Ask Us First
After years of welcoming guests from Germany, Austria and Switzerland on our boats, we know the questions by heart: Is it safe? Is insurance actually included? How big are the groups? What exactly does the price cover — and do I have to pay anything in advance? This guide answers all of it, without marketing fog, because guests from the German-speaking world tend to check the details before they book. We think that is exactly the right way to do it.
Safety and Standards You Can Verify
- Insurance included: every trip includes both passenger insurance and diving insurance — it is part of the price, not an upsell at the harbour.
- A full briefing before anyone gets wet: equipment, hand signals and the plan for both dives are explained step by step.
- Small groups: on our flagship Underwater Museum trip (€45, about 7 hours), instructors take a maximum of 3–4 divers each.
- PADI-certified instructors: our Kemer trip (€43, about 8 hours) runs with PADI-certified instructors in one of the clearest-water areas of this coast.
- Structured depths, no surprises: beginners dive 5–8 metres in the morning for 15–25 minutes and 12–13 metres in the afternoon. Nobody is taken deeper than the plan.
Language, Honestly
Here is where we refuse to over-promise. We will not guarantee you a specific German-speaking instructor on a specific date — that is the kind of promise that gets broken in high season, and broken promises are worse than honest ones. What we can say truthfully: our team serves international guests all season long, briefings are delivered in clear, simple English, and the team provides multilingual support so that nobody enters the water with an unanswered question. If you have specific concerns — a medical topic, a nervous partner, a child — send them through our contact page before the trip. A written answer you can read twice beats a rushed conversation on a dock.
Transparent Pricing, No Prepayment
The price you see covers the whole day: two guided dives, all equipment including a wetsuit, free two-way hotel transfer, a fresh lunch cooked on board, and the insurance mentioned above. Extras are clearly named as extras — underwater photo and video are optional, with the price given on request. And the part our German guests appreciate most: you reserve free of charge, pay on the day of the tour, and can cancel free up to 24 hours ahead. No deposit, no prepayment risk, no chasing refunds if your plans change.
A Structured Day
Morning pickup at your hotel — the exact time is confirmed the evening before, so you are never guessing. Then: briefing, first dive at 5–8 metres, lunch on board, second dive to 12–13 metres, return transfer. Non-diving companions can join as visitors or snorkelers at a reduced rate, on the same boat, with the same lunch.
For Certified Divers
Many guests from Germany arrive with a certification card in their wallet, and for them this coast holds serious options, arranged on request: the Paris II wreck at 21–31 metres, the DO-28 aircraft wreck at 19.5–23.3 metres, the 9-metre swim-through tunnel at Three Islands near Kemer, and the amphora area near Alanya. Bring your card and logbook — your dives are signed at the end of the day, and CMAS courses are available on request if you want to move up a level during your holiday.
Health Rules We Do Not Bend
No diving during pregnancy, or with severe asthma, heart or respiratory conditions — no exceptions, however calm the sea looks. When in doubt, consult your doctor and the standard diving medical form; we never diagnose, and we never talk anyone past a health concern. And do not fly within 24 hours after diving, so plan your dive day accordingly.
When to Come
The sea here ranges from about 17°C in winter to 28–29°C in late summer. Visibility is generally best from late spring to early summer and again in autumn; summer is warm and busy. In winter many operators wind down — message us for current availability instead of trusting a generic online calendar.
Book the Careful Way: Check First, Then Decide
Compare our prices, read the individual trip pages, ask your questions in writing — and only then reserve. Holding your place costs nothing, and changing your mind up to 24 hours before costs nothing either. That is how we would want to book, too.
