Scuba Diving from Belek

Belek is where Turkey's Mediterranean coast dresses up: championship golf courses rolled out between umbrella pines, a wide ribbon of soft sand, and some of the most polished all-inclusive resorts in the country. Days here tend to follow a pleasant rhythm of pool, beach and spa — which is exactly why a day that breaks the rhythm feels so good. Just beyond the sun loungers lies the same clear Mediterranean that divers cross Europe for, and you don't need a licence to see what's under it.

Your dive day begins with a morning pickup arranged for your Belek hotel — add your hotel while booking or drop us a message on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the details — followed by an easy transfer along the coast to Side, where our boat is waiting. On board, your instructor runs a full safety briefing and fits your equipment: tank, regulator, wetsuit, mask and fins are all included, as is passenger and diving insurance. The first guided dive stays at a gentle 5–8 metres for 15 to 25 minutes, ideal for finding your rhythm underwater. Back on deck, a fresh lunch is cooked on board; the afternoon dive then takes you deeper, to around 12–13 metres. By late afternoon you're heading back to Belek.

What makes divers staying in Belek pick this particular trip is the destination itself: the Side Underwater Museum, a sunken sculpture park where statues rest on the seabed and shoals of fish take food straight from your hand. Groups stay small — just three to four divers per instructor — so nobody gets lost in a crowd. The full seven-hour day costs €45; see the Underwater Museum diving trip for details or compare every trip on our prices page. Reserving online is free, you pay on the day in cash or by card, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before.

Never dived before? That's the norm here, not the exception — most of our guests are first-timers, and our discover scuba diving page explains exactly how a try-dive works. Children can try from around age ten, and anyone in your group who prefers to stay dry can come along as a boat visitor at a reduced rate.

FAQ

Is hotel pickup from Belek included?+

Belek lies at the outer edge of our standard pickup zone, so transfers for Belek hotels are arranged individually on request rather than automatically. Just enter your hotel name while booking, or send us a WhatsApp message, and we'll confirm your morning pickup before the trip.

I've never dived before — can I join from Belek?+

Absolutely. No licence or experience is required: you get a full safety briefing, all equipment, and an instructor who guides only three to four divers at a time, with the first dive at a gentle 5–8 metres. Try-dives are possible from around age ten. Diving is not permitted during pregnancy or with severe asthma, heart or respiratory conditions.

What does the €45 price include?+

Two guided dives at the Underwater Museum, all diving equipment, the safety briefing, a fresh lunch cooked on board, and both passenger and diving insurance. You reserve online for free and pay on the day in cash or by card, with free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. Pickup for Belek hotels is arranged with you at booking.

Can non-divers join, and is there anything to know after diving?+

Yes — companions who prefer to stay dry are welcome as boat visitors at a reduced rate and share the boat day and lunch. Divers should not fly within 24 hours of their last dive, so schedule the trip at least a day before your flight home. Certified divers can have their logbooks signed and stamped on board.
