Cheap Diving in Side: What a Low Price Should Still Include

"Cheap diving in Side" is one of the most searched phrases on this coast — and it deserves an honest answer. Across the diving industry, a rock-bottom price usually pays for itself somewhere you cannot see in the advert: rental gear that is worn and rarely replaced, ten or more guests queuing behind a single instructor, a boat day trimmed down to a quick in-and-out, or a headline price that quietly excludes lunch, transfer and insurance. None of this makes budget diving bad — it simply means the number on the banner rarely tells the whole story.

Our five full-day boat trips run from €43 to €50, and here the price is the whole story. Every trip includes two guided dives — a gentle first dive at 5–8 m for 15–25 minutes and a second dive to about 13 m if you are a beginner, while certified divers dive the real profiles on the same boats — plus all equipment, free two-way hotel transfer, a fresh lunch cooked on board, passenger and diving insurance, and a full safety briefing. Beginners dive without any licence. Even our flagship Side Underwater Museum trip (€45, around 110 sculptures at roughly 12 m) keeps groups to 3–4 divers per instructor — small-group standards at a budget price.

The booking terms are just as honest: reserve free online, pay on the day of the trip, and cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before. Non-diving companions join as boat guests at a reduced rate. Pickup is in the morning; the exact time is confirmed the evening before. FAQ

Why is diving in Side so cheap compared to other destinations?+

Full-day boat diving on this coast is genuinely good value: boat, crew and harbour costs are spread across a whole day at sea, and healthy local competition keeps margins tight. At €43–50 our trips still include two guided dives, all equipment, two-way hotel transfer, lunch on board and passenger and diving insurance — the price is low because the destination is efficient, not because something has been stripped out.

Is a cheap try-dive in Side safe for beginners?+

Yes. Every trip starts with a full safety briefing, you are guided by an instructor throughout, and the format is deliberately conservative: the first dive stays at 5–8 m for 15–25 minutes and the second goes to about 13 m, the ceiling for beginners, always beside an instructor. Certified divers dive the deeper profiles on the same boats, matched to their qualification level. Passenger and diving insurance is included. Diving is not suitable during pregnancy or with severe asthma, heart or respiratory conditions, and you should not fly within 24 hours after diving.

Are there hidden extras on top of the advertised price?+

No. Both guided dives, all equipment, the two-way hotel transfer, fresh lunch on board and insurance are included in the listed price, and you pay on the day of the trip. Non-diving companions join at a reduced boat-guest rate. Certified divers join the same boat trips at the same price and dive the deeper profiles. Only genuinely separate products — CMAS courses or night diving — are priced individually on request.

I am a certified diver — can I book a cheap wreck dive?+

Yes — certified divers dive from the same boats as everyone else, at the same all-in trip price. Only beginners are held to about 13 m; certified divers dive the real profiles, roughly 30 m on standard certified dives and down to 60 m on the deep sites for suitably qualified divers. Wrecks such as the MS Paris II (21–31 m) and the DO-28 aircraft at Kemer (19.5–23.3 m) sit well inside that range and are dived here regularly. These sites are for certified divers only, never for discovery divers, and the exact dive depends on your qualification level, the conditions and the day's plan — so send us your certification details via the contact page or WhatsApp before you book.
