Which resorts the transfer reaches
The Alanya boat is fed by a morning minibus run along the coastal road, so almost the whole strip either side of the city is covered. Whichever of these you are in, the pickup is included in the €43 and it works in both directions — nobody is finding their own way home from the harbour.
Two practical notes. The further out you stay, the earlier the minibus reaches you — that is simply how a single run down a coast road works, and it is why we confirm your exact pickup the evening before rather than printing a time on a voucher. And if you are in an apartment or a villa rather than a hotel with a lobby, tell us at booking: we will agree a clear meeting point nearby instead of leaving a driver hunting for a gate number in the dark.
What the day actually consists of
The minibus takes you to Alanya harbour, where the boat is loaded and the crew fits you for kit — wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask, fins and weights are all included, so you bring a towel, swimwear, sun protection and nothing else. The full safety briefing happens before anyone gets in the water, and it is not a formality: hand signals, breathing, how to clear a mask, how the group stays together.
Then two guided dives with the surface interval and a fresh lunch between them. If you have never dived, you are on the beginner tier — the first dive at 5–8 metres, the second to about 13 metres maximum, with an instructor within arm's reach the whole time and three or four divers per instructor. If you are certified, bring your card and logbook: standard certified dives here run to around 30 metres, and up to 60 metres on the deep sites when you are suitably qualified, and we will sign your logbook at the end.
The full itinerary, the sites and what is included sit on the Alanya scuba diving page, and the price is on the price page.
Fitting it into the week, honestly
Put the dive somewhere in the middle of your holiday, never at the end of it. You must not fly within 24 hours of diving — that is a hard safety rule and no operator can waive it, so a dive the day before your flight simply does not work.
Before you book, the health side. You cannot dive while pregnant or with severe asthma, heart or respiratory conditions; the standard diving medical questionnaire is what decides, and anything it flags needs a doctor's sign-off. We are not doctors and will not guess for you — but we will happily tell you what the questionnaire asks before you commit.
Everything else is designed to be low-commitment. Reserve online for free, pay on the day in cash or by card, and cancel free up to 24 hours ahead if the weather turns or the family changes its mind. Non-divers can come along as boat visitors at a reduced rate. Try-dives start from about age 10, and CMAS courses are available on request if the day turns into an ambition. If you are touring the coast and staying nearer Side than Alanya, the Side Underwater Museum day at €45 is the one worth planning around instead.
